Life as a Journalism Student at UF

Being a journalism student at the University of Florida has truly been a dream come true. Mostly because, its journalism program was one of the main reasons why UF was my dream school. Life as a journalism student was extremely educating, stressful at times, but most of all rewarding. With the Center for Media Innovation  and the Innovation News Center , as well as the courses taught, UF's College of Journalism has given me the hands-on and hands-off experience I need to take on the industry. The INC has given me amazing opportunities that truly trained me for the industry. This includes being a multimedia journalist working 12 hour shifts, a radio anchor for NPR, an entertainment anchor and a news anchor for WUFT News, an award-winning live newscast that airs in 17 counties. With these opportunities and education, I had the honor to get some of my dream internships in New York City including being a production intern at The Wendy William's Show and a control room intern
